Performance Training for Endurance Sports Workshop:
The goal of the KLTS performance training for endurance sports workshop is to provide the health and fitness professional with the theories and guidelines for developing a program using weight training and sports training techniques to achieve optimal performance.

  1. The biomechanics of the different  sports
  2. Pedaling Mechanics (Optimal cadence)
  3. Running Mechanics (foot strike)
  4. Periodization Training
  5. Block Training
  6. Training Energy systems (Aerobic, Glycolytic, ATP-PCr)
  7. Weight Training for Endurance sports

The goal of the KLTS performance training for endurance workshop is to enable the health and fitness professional with the tools to understand the mechanics of the sports and how to properly training their clients in these sports. On the topic of pedaling mechanics we will discuss the differences in cadences and what is the optimal cadence to increase power output. The running mechanic will discuss the different foot strikes and which strike is the best to use (heel, midfoot, or toe runner). Each of the topics will be covered on two sports due to time constraints. If we address every endurance sport or team sports this could take weeks or even months to lecture on.  In this workshop we will not on lecture but, demonstrate certain techniques to use in and out of the gym.

Course fee =500.00 (2 day clinic)
